In The Yard, Wotan is known as a German Shepherd who is the sort of pup the others let lead without quite noticing. Friends learned long ago not to interrupt Wotan near the satellite flowers field, especially with a pair of goggles claiming to see another layer of reality in hand. Singers near the soup stalls work small jokes about Wotan into their slowest songs. Wotan thinks the right life is one good walk near the council fountain, repeated until it stops feeling ordinary.
